I gave you part of my love

But can you give it back?

I think you have no more use for it.

Someone else has lent some to you.

And I guess i’m running low.

You’ve found mine to be faulty,

A flaw i couldn’t fix in time,

Or at least for you.

I’ve done my best to return yours.

I want to try to give it to someone new

To see if one day it’ll find a home.

But I know I’ll only look just to find it
