A Bit Of butter on your bread?

Pillow’s soft,

Silky down,

Morning light,

And yet I frown.

The kitchen mocks,

Scream the clocks,

Tick and chime,

That it’s breakfast time.

Oatmeal is fine,

For peasants to dine.

And I guess for most,

Breakfast is toast.

Grapefruit is sour,

And not to devour.

The thought of a waffle,

Is really quite awful.

Pancakes and sausage

Holds my tongue hostage.

Bacon and hashbrowns,

A breakfast of clowns.

I lay back in defeat,

With nothing to eat.

If I just can’t be fed,

I guess i’ll go back to bed.
